il paesaggio alle spalle di Maria è la città di Feltre. Tipica la forma delle torri con finestra rettangolare sulla cima e tetto a piramide ribassata, tutt'ora visibile nella torre detta " El Campanon". Sul piano ove siede Maria sorgeva la chiesa , il convento francescano e il maggior ospizio cittadino( per pellegrini e malati poveri)che avevano nome "S. Maria del Prato". Tale ente è simboleggiato dal contadino con l'aratro ( l'ospizio poteva assistere molti poveri perchè aveva molte terre date in donazione testamentaria) e l'uomo seduto mezzo nudo ( un malato ricoverato nell'ospizio).
