oil on wood. rather small. thin shiny surface, with dark colors and low chroma. crisp rendering of the face, with a serious expression. hugging a tall person completely wrapped in white paper -but looking directly at the viewer. I met count carlo Pelanda in columbus when we both were in graduate school in OSU. I wonder where he is now - I would like to paint him again!
