POMELO, originally painted by Carolin Eames (New Zealand), the painter described it as following:The Pomelo fruit represents fertility and prosperity.
It is grapefruit-like but huge, with sweet flesh and a thick spongy rind.
A woman gave me a pomelo in Thailand, it barely fit in my hands. It was the inspiration for this painting.
This painting reminds the viewer of warm summer days. It would look spectacular in a kitchen, dining area, or a place in want of colour and warmth.
